No Operator Needed
Have you ever needed to place a long-distance call and you had to use a phone operator? They are the mediators. They take our calls and they take down the information of who we are trying to reach and the telephone number amongst other information. Imagine if every single call that was made today was incomplete without an operator. How frustrated would we as people be? The time spent waiting to connect. The time spent trying to communicate our need. We are so very used to being able to pick up our phones and communicate without having an intermediary or woman. We do not need anyone to communicate on our behalf when we make our phone calls. We can Google a company name and all information is at our fingertips. Now imagine if we had to utilize those same operators to communicate with God. If we had to sit and wait for someone to answer us to see if He is available. Waiting to be connected, waiting to be heard, and waiting to make our requests known.
Luke 19:40 says “And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”
We are so very fortunate because there is not anything standing in between or in the way of our communication with God. Our relationship with the Father is hinged upon us. We have the ability and freedom to get into his presence at any time. The word worship is defined as the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity. “The act of attributing reverent honour and homage to God.”
There are times when I get in my prayer closet and it is not to pray. My sole desire is to get into a deep worship. There are somethings that require more than words via prayer. There are victories that require true worship. A simple ‘thank you Lord’ will not suffice. Some moments require me/us to dig deep. The road to that accomplishment, to that breakthrough requires me to reach into the pit of myself and give God true adoration. See not every situation or trial is public knowledge. Some trials are faith builders and are between you and God. Not every prayer or need is bound for someone’s prayer request list. Sometimes the only thing we need to do is sit down and get before God. Give Him our time, our problems, our thoughts, our desires and circumstances.
In Psalm 42:7 KJV, it says “Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy water spouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.”
Regardless of where we are, God hears us. Our praise and worship reach God at all times. When we step out of self and get before God, it is as if we close out everything else. It is just us. We do not have someone else on the line; there are not any interrupted conversations on His part. We have His undivided attention. I struggle at times because I am not focused and that is where my request for God to help me in that area becomes vital. There is power in knowing when you need help. Communicating that to God takes the thought process out and now we can get right to business. Now God I can release my stored-up hallelujah and truly enter in. In addition, in those moments it is a give and take interaction because we are giving God our worship and yet we are receiving something at the same time.
To quicken something means to Stimulate and when referencing that in biblical terms it means to make alive.
So God I am not only asking you to stimulate my worship but God I need you to breathe life into this. God quicken my worship. God stimulate my worship.
Worship comes in waves and not each wave is the same. Some waves are small yet consistent. Then, there are times when a big wave shows up and it may last for a while and it has a purpose. Much like a rolling wave that almost skirts on the water and arrives in the midst of other waves yet it still stands out. There are seasons that require a rolling wave. Your now season may require a new wave of worship. You may have to spend more time before Him. Your release may not be the same as it always has been. As we grow in our personal relationship with Christ and our spirit man has become more mature there is more that is required of us. Our prayer time and our worship should elevate. Our connection and communication should stand on their own. I no longer need to call someone to pray for me. I can now pray and get before Him on behalf of myself.
