She Speaks Truth 2025

What if we told you that the woman standing next to you in the grocery store or at school pick-up had an incredible story of hope? What would happen if we gave these seemingly ordinary women a platform to speak Truth? We believe that as she speaks Truth - the World changes!

Gather with hundreds of women from across the Las Vegas Valley to encounter Jesus in worship and through the Truth of the Gospel. Come and hear from local women as they share their stories of hope found in Christ alone.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of each event.

Small bites and refreshments will be provided at no additional cost.

Speakers:

  • Vanessa has a heart for people to grow in intimacy with Christ. She is passionate about transforming potential into action. At the age of 24, Vanessa founded her ministry, Ignite Life, with the mission to equip, empower, and mobilize women to be the spark that ignites change in the world for the sake of Christ. Out of her desire to mobilize women in the church, one small conference gave birth to a movement of Christian women. Although this ministry is a huge priority in her life, her first ministry is her family. Vanessa has been married to her “Prince” Evan, for 12 years and her life is filled with joy and chaos raising her three children (Owen, 11; Ethan, 9; Charlotte, 6)

  • My name is Karen Lopez-Martinez. I am originally from Youngstown,Ohio. I moved to Las Vegas in July 2008. I am recently widowed after being married to the most amazing husband for over 13 years. I’m a mom to 7 awesome kids. One biological and 6 I’ve gotten the honor to foster and adopt with my late husband. I stay home and homeschool my kiddos. I love Jesus and enjoy watching my oldest play hockey.

  • Because Jesus uses the fisherman, tax collector and water-gathering woman to share the best stories, He has called Sara Jessa to speak His truth from a layman’s life. In this season, Sara is learning to serve her husband of 20 years, nurture a pair of amazing teenagers, and passionately pursue Jesus into a “faith-rest” life. Her ministry, Experience Faith, allows her to seek and share thin spaces, inviting others to join her in creating space to encounter Jesus in nature, rest and retreats. Sara’s magnetic energy invites friends and strangers alike to “want what she’s having”... more Jesus!

  • Robin Smith is passionate about equipping people to lead with their unique God-given gifts. Robin has a strong tie to her church, community, and work. She firmly believes that all three are sacred. Her greatest joy is doing life together in community; encouraging, strengthening, and challenging each other to be their very best and reach their full potential.

Robin is the founder of Focus Consulting, where she invests in people with a unique focus on, but not limited to, women leading non-profit ministries.  Through her consulting, Robin walks with others through individual coaching, Lead Well: online leadership cohorts, FOCUSed Women: in-person masterminds, women’s retreats, and public speaking. Robin has 40 years of non-profit leadership experience, and the desire of her heart is to share what she has learned to help others reach their potential and accomplish their personal and professional goals.

Robin partners with Ignite Life through her consulting by assisting them with training and development. Robin is passionate about the ministry of Ignite Life and loves being able to support the ministry in this way. Robin also serves on the Ignite Life Board of Directors and the Ignite Life Speaking Team as a communicator of God’s Word.

Robin and her husband Homer have been married for 40 years, have two grown children, and attend Avenue church, where they focus on spiritual formation and mentoring others..

  • Jenny Christiansen is a speaker, teacher, and mentor who places high value on equipping others to live out full, wonderfully complex, Gospel-centered stories! Through sharing scriptural principles and practical insights, she hopes to inspire people to:

–Experience God’s presence in their everyday life

    –Trust God through life’s challenges

–Pray like warriors, fear less, and live more!

Jenny likes to call herself a “People Investor”. Thankfully, she has found herself doing precisely that. She has spent over 25 years as an educator, both as a classroom teacher and a school administrator. She treasures the opportunity to work with individuals, small groups, and large audiences to inspire them to live with joy!

But as much as she loves ministry, she enjoys a good cup of coffee, mountain lakes, friendships, exercise and reading books. Her favorite people are her husband, Craig, her daughters, son-in-laws and 8 charming grandchildren.

  • Rosie is most passionate about women knowing Jesus and believes that one of life's greatest joys is being allowed to walk alongside women as they are discovering who the Lord has created them to be, helping them to redefine their stories in God-honoring ways. Rosie is a counselor by trade and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Traumatology. She has served in the mental health field for the last 13 years and currently  serves as the executive director at Refuge for Women Las Vegas, where she gets the privilege of serving women who have been sexually exploited.  Rosie feels especially passionate about stepping into crisis situations and helping to create clarity and order.  Rosie's hope is that mental health would be an area that the church is equipped to deal with and come alongside. Rosie and her husband Ricky have been married for 13 years and have two little people, Tripp and Rhian. Rosie and her family attend Hope church where her husband is on staff. In her spare time she enjoys shopping and all things interior design. She is most excited to share her story- particularly about the redeeming nature of our God.

  • My name is Melissa Atuatasi, AKA Peanut Butter AKA Jesus Girl. I am Samoan; born and raised in LA. I love hanging out with family and friends and eating. I love to play cards along with games like Skip-Bo and Phase 10.

I am a student of the Word and love to learn. I love the ocean, mountains, and worship in the outdoors (I can’t sing so don’t ask). I have been attending Neighborhood Church since 2016 as an Administrative Assistant and continue in that role today, serving my Senior & Co-Pastor and the people of NBHD.
